RENEWED: BIG BEN TOWER, LONDON, UK vs TSIM SHA TSUI CLOCK TOWER, HONG KONG

BIG BEN TOWER (HA_28566) vs TSIM SHA TSUI CLOCK TOWER (HA_28567)

1. DESIGN
I'm so excited to share my two renewed projects which are the model of Big Ben and Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower. I picked up one architecture style from the UK and another one is from Hong Kong. You know, the UK and Hong Kong have a relationship that connects with each other. They are two clock towers with different time zones which could be run as telling the timeline of humans, architecture, or the universe, or all things in the world. Right! Both of the models were Lego sets before but now they are renewed by vboihuynh, become more clear, neat, and organize. If you want to see more photos, please visit my portfolio website...

2. BIG BEN TOWER
Elizabeth Tower (also known as Big Ben in London, UK) is a wonderful clock tower designed in the Gothic Revival style. As I know that the Gothic Revival is an architectural style being popular in England during the 19th century. The tower was completed in 1858 and has become one of the most prominent symbols of both London and England, often in the establishing shot of films set in the city.
Big Ben boasts many of these features. The clock tower, which is 315 feet tall has a 115-foot iron-framed spire that is topped off with a pinnacle. The bottom portion of the clock tower follows the Gothic Revival style as it has lancet windows, which are tall, thin windows. The tower is also built from limestone cladding. One of the most interesting facts about the construction of the tower is that it was built from the inside out.

Approximately how many Lego pieces did you use to re-newed your model?
I approximately used 1,032 Lego pieces to re-newed the model of Big Ben

3. TSIM SHA TSUI CLOCK TOWER
Standing at 44-meters tall, the old Clock Tower was erected in 1915 as part of the Kowloon–Canton Railway terminus. The once-bustling station is long gone, but this red brick and granite tower, now preserved as a Declared Monument, survives as an elegant reminder of the Age of Steam. It has also been a memorable landmark for the millions of Chinese immigrants who passed through the terminus to begin new lives not just in Hong Kong, but in other parts of the world via the city’s harbor.
The Clock Tower is a landmark in Hong Kong. It is located on the southern shore of Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. It is the only remnant of the original site of the former Kowloon Station on the Kowloon–Canton Railway. Officially named Former Kowloon-Canton Railway Clock Tower (Chinese: 前九廣鐵路鐘樓), it is usually referred to as the Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower (Chinese: 尖沙咀鐘樓) for its location.

Approximately how many Lego pieces did you use to re-newed your model?
I approximately used 365 Lego pieces to re-newed the model of Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower.

4. CONCLUSION
I always love architecture. In my design, I consolidated and redesigned it into a neat and organized model with the completed scaling. Here, I tried to use the same technique as both real-life towers in order to emphasize captures the beauty and uniqueness of the legendary tower and its history. I believe that this would make a great model sets in the future. This is my first time to renewed the model and I will do better. Now, I'm planning some renewed projects in 2022 as well.
